8th September 2009Large Book Order #2UPDATE: I remembered a promo code that I had, and so I changed my order slightly. Striked-through items are discarded from my original order. Last year I got £70 in Waterstones vouchers from school, giving rise to my Large Book Order #1. This year I won £60, and although I'd prefer money or at least vouchers to a decently priced store (Amazon), I'm not going to complain. 7th September 2009Metal Gear Solid TouchIf I had to be a fanboy of just one thing, I would choose Metal Gear Solid. My reasons may not be entirely logical or particularly easy to explain, but I think Metal Gear Solid is the best game I have ever played ((That's my worst use of hyperbole... (Jeremy Clarkson voice) in the world.)). There is some worthy competition - I love Half-Life 2, it's an excellent game with a compelling storyline, engaging gameplay and it's finished extremely well with great technology; I love Super Mario Brothers - but for me, Metal Gear Solid superior to all other. After seeing Office Space with z3rb back in February, he said that Idiocracy (made by the same people or director or something) was also good. I watched it, and he was wrong. It was shit.
