Yay!)), and conversing with Mr. Kimble-Wimble in the comments section, I realised that it was bullshit. I started off writing with only a vague feeling - that Remembrance Day is a bit silly - and my lack of structured thinking resulted in a mess of a post with no clear point. I'll be a bit more disciplined with myself. 11th November 2009RemembranceRemembrance Day was just an annoyance back in school ((Having a day dedicated to a certain thing seems a bit silly to me.)), but when I consider the lives and suffering of soldiers, I am respectful and appreciative. It's not a job I would want, but it is a necessary job ((I hope that, one day, soldiers are no longer necessary.)). Although I haven't had any relatives who've fought in the wars - I don't even know anyone working for a military body - my appreciation is personal.
