Just over a month ago I caught podcast fever like I've never experienced before. Having listened to Andy Ihnatko recommending the show for years on MacBreak Weekly, and more recently having my good friend and future housemate Mr Adam Kesby recommend it, when an episode of This American Life was mentioned on one of my favourite blogs, I took notice. Perhaps my favourite improvements ever added to iOS were those made to the music player app in iOS 3.0: Search was a nice addition, variable-rate scrubbing very useful, and I use the 30-second rewind button all the time. But I find particularly the playback speed button the most indispensable. It has changed the way I listen to podcasts. 23rd August 20105by5After being linked to them hundreds of times by the likes of Merlin and Gruber, I listened to some of Dan Benjamin's podcasts. And then I listened to some more, because he cranks out some pretty good shows. Dan set up 5by5 as the home for his podcasts, and now he runs it as his full time job. Jealous? 27th July 2010Selling Oranges or LemonsHello Internet. I'm back. This is the first time in 4 months that I've been home without having something gobbling up most of my time and attention. It started in late March when Will and his girlfriend visited, and then my nephew ((Back then he was about 12 weeks old.)) and his parents came up to Perth too ((My eldest sister and brother-in-law, a great couple.)). 11th April 2009MacBreak WeeklyMacBreak Weekly is one of the TWiT podcasts, a spin-off from MacBreak. If you're not into Apple products, then you're not going to like this, but even of your interest is small, these guys have such a great rappore that is most enjoyable to listen to. I often listen to MacBreak Weekly whilst cooking.
