5th August 2010My Idea for a FilmThere are many films about death, or at least I presume there must be, because death is such an important part of life ((A vital part? Currently inevitable, but will it always be so? Should it always be so?)). 27th July 2010Selling Oranges or LemonsHello Internet. I'm back. This is the first time in 4 months that I've been home without having something gobbling up most of my time and attention. It started in late March when Will and his girlfriend visited, and then my nephew ((Back then he was about 12 weeks old.)) and his parents came up to Perth too ((My eldest sister and brother-in-law, a great couple.)). 16th December 2009The History BoysFor some reason I hadn't heard of The History Boys until just before I watched it. George recommended it to me. He's keen on recommendations, but... somewhat lacking in persuasion. My focus has many worthy demands, and telling me to "watch this" doesn't always attract me. Telling me twice, however, and including the word "indeed", seemingly does. 30th June 2009IdiocracyI don't usually comment on the xkcd web comic, as just about everyone reads it already, but this week's I completely agree with. After seeing Office Space with z3rb back in February, he said that Idiocracy (made by the same people or director or something) was also good. I watched it, and he was wrong. It was shit. 23rd February 2009The OscarsOK, the Oscars are nice for finding out which films are actually good and which aren't (usually), but why would anyone in their right mind choose to watch the whole event, live? It's ridiculous, especially as the time differences mean that it's some crazy hour in the morning. People. Sigh.
