The moon’s looking pretty good at the moment.
Last night after swimming, I got my camera and binoculars, went out into the cold, and took pictures of the moon.
It’s not something that I’ve ever tried to do before, but after half an hour of faffing around with positioning, I finally got some shots that I’m happy with – you can even see a few craters!
I’ll have another go tonight.
Yeah, that picture just doesn’t do justice to how beautiful the moon has looked lately. Especially the full moon over Kinnuousuousl Hill last(?) night.
It’s great. At the moment the moon is at its closest point to the Earth, so this is the largest full moon which we will see of the year. The last one, at the start of December, was the biggest of 2008 too, so we’ve had a nice treat.
