21st August 2010We’re going through changesI don't think I can top my previous extremely exciting post, so I'm not even going to try. Instead, have a treat: a new look for my blog. Clearly I've not done much. I've adjusted the alignments of various sections and I've changed a few colours around, and that's about it. I hated the old dark grey background - I don't know why I ever chose it - so I've gone back to something closer to the original design of the template. Without the dark background, the light header was just too much. White and light greys everywhere? ...

11th March 2010This EveningI want to share a photo from this evening. If you've ever looked at my Flickr Photostream, then you'll know I like to take pictures from my bedroom. They're for a later project, or at least for later reference. I noticed some particularly pink clouds around sunset, so I grabbed my camera and took several shots through the window. I spent a little while stitching them together to give a more life-like, wide-angle view ((As you can't tell I'm not a pro but perfection wasn't the point. 4th December 2009The Black and White PastAn old mental_floss post begins with a section which makes me think someone is reading my thoughts ((Maybe I should don a tinfoil hat.)): ...having seen mostly black-and-white pictures of the world pre-1960 or so (I’m not counting Technicolor movies), I begin to imagine the past unfolding in monochrome. 31st May 2009Stuff that makes me hate people on the internet #1Use of 'random' in a 'cool' way. Wrong use of upper-case words. Badly fitting ASCII characters to make an image. The fact that the image depicts an iPod Nano, or at the very least a normal iPod, and not the mentioned iPod Shuffle (which, FYI, has no screen). Wrongly capitalised 'iPod'. On the plus side: The sentence starts with capital. The sentences ends with only one exclamation mark! It only makes use of one colour.
