As you know, I’m working towards controlling my dreams. There’s a good chance that I will never manage it, and if I do it will certainly take time.
I have had some success, however. Last night whilst falling to sleep, I was thinking about one particular event, and then that event featured heavily in my following dreams, though modified and added to. Still, it’s a start.
I’ve had a few ideas:
- Continue doing this, thinking about one thing in particular as I fall asleep.
- Try to remember my dreams as I wake up, perhaps write something down or at least think it over in my mind.
- Vary the time at which I wake up, so that rather than my ‘body clock’ settling into a routine, I will be woken up during a dream cycle and hence better suited to remember my dreams.
And then there’s all the rest of the ideas. I remember that Richard Feynman spoke about his dreaming techniques in his book “Surely You’re Joking, Mr. Feynman?”, but I can’t seem to recall any of the detail. I shall have to dig it out again.
